This quilt is the second in my speakers’ series and it’s called “Speak out.”
I find, as women, we are so often afraid of offending others or saying the wrong thing. But our stories matter and our voices are power. We’ve witnessed societal shifts when we speak up. On a smaller scale, I know I’ve made deep connections when I’ve shared my story and discovered I’m not alone in my experiences, which shifted something in me. Change might be slow, but I believe it might never happen if we remain silent.
