Sometimes we're just barely keeping it together, struggling to find motivation as we go through the motions of life. We feel fragile, untethered and keenly protective of our vulnerable selves. The basics are all we can manage and we don't necessarily know why. This is a tough space to be in, especially in a society that expects productivity and performance. But this can also be a space of rest, contemplation and healing.
I was thinking of all these things when I designed and made this quilt, which I'm calling "Holding on."
