Most of my adult life, I've let work, anxieties and responsibilities get in the way of just having fun. I had forgotten about the importance of play — just doing something for the pure joy of it. As I continue to reconnect with my inner-kid, I'm really trying to nurture that sense of creativity and discovery. So far, it's been incredibly freeing.
The process of making this wall hanging, was completely organic and free... taking pieces of fabric and seeing what transpired. The neon yellow also reminds me of growing up in the '80s. So I'm calling it "Child's Play."
